Whether you are new to Ontario or Canada, or simply changing insurance companies, there are a few documents you would need to provide in order for our office to quote you accurately and offer the best rate for your insurance needs.
For new drivers who went through the Drivers Training Program within the last 3 years, you would need to provide your Drivers Licence History confirming the completion and date of the Drivers Training Course.
New to Ontario
For Automobile Insurance, a Letter of Experience from your former insurer as well as a copy of your Drivers Abstract which can be obtained at the license bureau in the province from which you are moving would be needed in order to obtain the best rates and discounts.
New To Canada
For new drivers to Canada, you would need to provide an English (or translated to English by your Embassy or High Commission) Letter of Experience confirming your insurance history and Claims Free experience.
For those with US driving experience, you should provide as much insurance experience as possible as you will be able to directly convert your US experience to Canadian.
For Home, Condo and Tenant Insurance a Letter of Experience from your former insurer showing the number of years of insurance as well as the years of Claims Free experience would be needed in order to obtain the best rates and discounts.
